I have designed and delivered events and training courses for Kent County Council’s Country Parks team from 2008 – 2013 and have managed and delivered Canterbury City Council’s Westgate Parks events programme since 2013.
Each year I organise the Friends of Westgate Parks open day and arts and crafts in the park events which together attract over 5,000 visitors.
I enjoy designing trails, guided walks and nature themed activity sessions.
I established the very popular Westgate Park’s Scarecrow Trail, which takes place in October. Community organisations from across the Canterbury District design scarecrows and bring them to the park to be showcased.
Visitors can vote for their favourites and the winners are announced at the end of the day.
